Letter from ARTA | ARTA Rivers

"Where do you want to go today?" Microsoft
"Have you had your break today?" McDonalds
"What Day is it anyway?" ARTA
WELCOME!

Welcome to our second web-site, (our first is in the corner of our office behind the wood-burning stove). The Internet, cyber-space, and modern technology are wonderful, but there is still no substitute for having your mind cleansed by a week in the wilderness, or having your face cleansed by Clavey Falls, or having your body and soul cleansed by a soak in a hotsprings under a full moon. There is still no substitute for becoming so focused on where you are and who you're with that you ask yourself: "What day is it anyway?"

Such are the thoughts that our trips inspire, and the feelings that we try to impart. Our philosophy about vacations is pretty simple: see less more clearly, get to know fewer people more intimately, eat better food more slowly. And, of course, have fun. We're really good at having fun!

So when you're ready to log-off of the World Wide Web and log-on to the real wide world, please give us a call, (OK, you can e-mail us), and let us guide you back to the simplicity of our natural environment. We look forward to hearing from you,

THE ARTA STAFF

Rafting On the Rogue River ARTA is a non-profit corporation, founded in 1963 and registered with the State of California. We believe that it is important for people to experience the outdoors first-hand and that this experience brings meaningful and beneficial results to both the individual and the environment. Our goal is to conduct safe river trips which promote a sense of involvement and fulfillment, which foster an appreciation for the wilderness, which are legendary in their professionalism and satisfaction, and which are a great deal of fun. Our non-profit status and philosophy ensure that any surplus revenues generated by our trips are reinvested in the company or donated to conservation organizations and are not distributed to individuals or investors.
