Downstream's Rivers

ONE DAY TRIPS:
Novice Rivers:
  • Skagit Eagle Float Trip (Class I) - A rare opportunity to see and photograph the magnificent bald eagles. We typically see 50-200 eagles!
  • Upper Skagit (Class II-III) - A mild and super scenic introduction to whitewater in N. Cascades National Park.

Intermediate Rivers:

  • Suiattle (Class II+-III+) - Continuous Intermediate rapids. A 'young' glacier fed river that changes every year.
  • Wenatchee (Class III+) - The most popular trip in the State. Usually warm and sunny with big roller coaster waves and few rocks.
  • Tieton (Class III+) - Raft non-stop whitewater! A thrilling end of summer rendezvous amidst beautiful fall colors.

Advanced Rivers:

  • Skykomish (Class III-IV) - Closest river to Seattle. Famous for the class V "Boulder Drop" (optional) and superb mountain scenery.
  • Sauk (Class III-IV) - Lots of maneuvering through complex rapids provides a challenging team experience through rain forest scenery.
  • North Fork Skykomish (Class III-IV+) - Limited availability and previous experience required. Like the Sauk, but more demanding.
  • Green River Gorge (Class III-IV+) - A boulder choked gorge with rapids plunging into deep green pools. Dam controlled and only available on short notice. Previous experience recommended.

Multi-Day Trips:

  • Grande Ronde (Oregon) - 3 days (Class II-III) - Experience solitude in this deep and majestic canyon with lots of big game wildlife. A great relaxing getaway or fantastic family experience.
