Mountain Wings sits at the foot of the Ellenville Mountain site which is considered the "Hang Gliding Capital of the Northeast." It boasts a distance record of 98 miles and a duration record of 11-1/2 hours. Our most frequently used training hill is at the base of the mountain and students can just turn their eyes skyward to catch a glimpse of pilots soaring and anticipate the thrill that they may soon experience.
Hang gliding is a sport that is somewhat dependent on weather conditions since gliders must launch and land facing into the wind. Mountain Wings offers four gently sloped bunny hills facing different directions so that you will always be able to fly if wind conditions safely allow it. |

| Introductory Program - $135 |
| This program introduces you to Hang Gliding. Discover what the sport is all about with a complete ground school, simulator time, and an afternoon of flying on the training hill. Gradually getting higher flights as your skills increase. $120 of this course fee may be applied to package upgrades at the end of the day. |
| Novice Program - $725 |
| This six-day program takes you to the Novice level. Perfect your launch and landing techniques, learn to do first turns and set up flight plans to prepare you for higher flights. This is where the student learns just how much fun flying really is. Students should be thinking about their glider purchases at this stage. (School gliders are only available for higher altitude flights in the Eagle package). Package includes a $100.00 coupon towards your new glider purchase*, and Log book, U.S.H.G.A. membership extra. |
| Eagle Package - $1,199 |
This is the most popular lesson package we offer. It includes all of the above and more. Take up to 10 days to complete your training and master your flying skills. You are a pilot after finishing this course. The package includes four high altitude flights in our equipment. You will be in complete radio contact with our certified instructors throughout the entire flight. This will hook you on Hang Gliding for sure. Price includes a $200 coupon towards a new glider purchase*, Flight Manual and membership in the U.S.H.G.A. ($59 value)
