WHITEWATER RAFTING TRIPS

THE MIGHTY HUDSON RIVER GORGE
Our most popular trip, the Hudson River Gorge offers 16 miles of spectacular whitewater and beautiful scenery. This full day, class III - V trip, provides an exciting adventure as well as great memories. This is a great trip for beginners and experienced rafters looking for a challenge and thrills. Fun for office and school groups, clubs, scouts and, of course, friends and families. For every group of eight, the trip leader rafts free.
Spring (April to June) - Daily, $95/person Sat; $80/person Sun-Thurs; $85/person Fri.
Summer (July to August) - Tue/Thurs/Sat/Sun, $75/person.
Fall (Labor Day - Columbus Day) - Weekends and Holidays Only, $85/person.

Hudson River Gorge P.O.P. (Pay One Price) Package
Package includes two nights lodging, breakfast, the Hudson River Gorge raft trip, plus choice of lodging in our popular on site lodge, The Glen House Bed and Breakfast or the nearby, beautiful and sophisticated, Friends Lake Inn.

THE MOOSE RIVER
Known as the most intense rafting in the Adirondacks, the Moose River is for experienced rafters only. Our guides affectionately call it "Slam dancing with Mother Nature". On the Moose you will encounter class IV - V drops with names like Frothy Hole, Mix Master and The Room of Doom. These rapids give new meaning to the command "Hold On!"
Previous rafting experience on class IV or higher whitewater is required.
Spring (April to May) - Sun-Fri., $100/person.
Fall (Columbus Day weekend through Oct), $100/person.

THE HUDSON & MOOSE COMBO
Two action packed days of whitewater rafting. Spend the first day on the exciting Hudson River Gorge and your second day putting all your skills to the test on the Mighty Moose. Not for the faint of heart, this package requires the participant to be in good shape physically and mentally.

THE MIDDLE HUDSON RIVER GORGE
This exciting seven mile trip on the Middle Hudson Gorge is perfect for first timers, scout groups, church and school groups as well as team building seminars. This half day trip features majestic scenery, thrilling whitewater and as much fun as you can stand.

THE SACANDAGA RIVER
Summertime rafting at its best. This is the perfect summer trip for families, clubs, summer camps, church and scout groups looking for a whitewater adventure in the summertime. Let our experienced guides show you the bets time you will have all summer. Four trips daily for your convenience.
Summer (mid June to Labor Day) - Daily, $18/person

OVERNIGHT RAFT TRIPS
Join us as we spend 2 exciting days rafting and one star filled night camping deep in the heart of The Gorge. You will be surrounded byrugged beauty, bountiful wildlife and the harmony that only The Gorge can provide. During the day, enjoy the thrill of whitewater and in the evening relax around the campfire sharing stories and unwinding. Our experienced guides will take care of everything as they lead you into the wilderness and provide you with a truly unique experience.

WHITEWATER PADDLING TOURS

White Water Kayaking Tours and Trips - Hudson River, Ottawa RiverTHE OTTAWA RIVER (Ontario, Canada)
Known as "Paddlers’ Paradise", the Ottawa River is one of the most popular big water rivers in the East. Located northwest of Ottawa City, this wonderful river offers the intermediate to advanced paddler numerous play spots and very challenging, yet warm, whitewater. Our staff, who have spent many days on the Ottawa, will introduce you to Phil’s Hole, McCoy’s, The Black Chute, Coliseum and other great rapids. Not a trip to be missed!
You must be at least a Class III paddler for this trip.
July 18 to July 20 and August 8 to August 10 - $350/person

HUDSON RIVER GORGE KAYAK TOURS
The Hudson River Gorge is one of the most challenging and fun runs in the Northeast. Our guides will provide companionship, safety and local knowledge in order to ensure that your first descent down The Gorge is a successful one. Not only will you learn the names of the rapids but also the best lines and all the playspots.
You must be at least a Class III paddler for this trip.

INN TO INN TOURS

Lake Champlain Inn to Inn Tour
This is by far our most popular B&B tour. Spend 3 days paddling from Westport, N.Y. to Essex, N.Y. sightseeing and relaxing on this truly enchanting lake that is the border between New York and Vermont. Our days will find us exploring beautiful bays, coves and towering 200 ft. high cliffs as we glide by miles of rustic shoreline and rotected swimming spots. Relaxing, charming and comfortable accommodations await us at the end of each wonderful day. This is a perfect getaway for the experienced as well as the beginner paddler.

WILDERNESS TOURS

Cranberry Lake Wilderness Tour
Located in the Five Pond Wilderness Area of the Adirondack Mountains, Cranberry Lake is one of the most beautiful lakes you will ever paddle. We spend 4 days and 3 nights in this pristine area filled with loons, eagles, deer and great fishing.
Spring/Summer/Fall (Late May to Early October) - Weekly, $450/person.

Indian Lake Weekend Wilderness Tour
Arrive at the Glen House Lodge on Friday for a good night’s sleep before a great weekend getaway. Start bright and early on Saturday morning at Indian Lake and embark on your paddle trip to the sandy beaches of Johnny Mack Bay - the base camp for two days of paddling, exploration, fishing, swimming and an all-around great time! Ideal for all levels.
Summer/Fall (Late June through Early October), $270/person.

CANOE AND KAYAK WHITEWATER INSTRUCTION

ONE TO FIVE DAY CLINICS

Rolling Class - Kayaking Classes and Specialty ClinicsThe instructional program at Wild Waters Outdoor Center is unsurpassed. Not only are our instructors ACA certified, but they are also dedicated to the sport and enjoy sharing their knowledge with you. Our location, on the banks of the Hudson River, is the perfect starting point for your introduction to paddling. Our 1 to 5 day clinics start in April and last through October. We offer a variety of rivers for all levels of paddling ability. Even on the hottest days in the summer, with the dam controlled Sacandaga River, we have plenty of water for you!

Beginner and Novice paddlers will start their clinic on flatwater where they will quickly learn the basic strokes and boat control techniques needed to paddle in whitewater. From the lake we head to the river where you will learn all about river dynamics and river running in fun, but not intimidating, whitewater situations.

Intermediate and Advancd Paddlers will focus on advanced stroke techniques, boat control, surfing and the Eskimo Roll in a more challenging setting.

Clinic Costs:
1 Person: $130/day
2-3 People: $120/person/day
4-6 People: $115/person/day

Clinics begin on Saturdays and include: lodging and meals beginning the evening before the clinic begins and all equipment. Discounts given if you use your own equipment or choose alternative meals or lodging. Call for more information.


SPECIALTY CLINICS

Wild Waters Outdoor Center's specialty clinics are designed for a variety of paddling abilities and needs. Our goal is to provide you with the unique paddling clinic you are looking for.

PRIVATE BOATER'S RESCUE COURSE
This is not your average rescue course - the rescues covered are the ones you will most likely encounter on your paddling excursions. This 2-day course will be divided between the classroom, shore and the water. It covers scouting, group leadership and management, swimming, basic towing techniques and throwrope skills. You must be at least a novice boater to take this course.
Spring/Summer/Fall (Late May to October) - Every Weekend, $175/person.
Includes: 2 days of instruction, safety equipment and lunch.

ROLLING CLINICS
Our 1/2 day rolling clinics may be just right for you. The morning session is for those who need help with their roll on flatwater. Our afternoon session is for those who are ready to start working in river current.
Spring/Summer/Fall (Late May to October) - Every Weekend, $40/person. Reservations required.
Includes: Equipment and Instruction.

"WOMEN ONLY" CLINIC
The ideal way for women to further discover paddling and leave their stress and busy schedules behind. The atmosphere is warm and non-competitive and allows women to connect with other women paddlers of similar ability.
Beginner: May 22-24, $390/person
Novice: July 3-4, $250/person
Intermediate/Advanced: August 7-8, $260/person
Includes: Equipment, instruction, lodging and meals.

ACA INSTRUCTOR CERTIFICATION
This course is divided into 2 sessions. The Instructor Development Workshop is designed to help develop your teaching style and paddling technique. The Instructor Certification Exam is the evaluation for meeting ACA requirements for flatwater, moving water or whitewaer certification. The course emphasis in on teaching skills, classroom communication and paddling technique. You will be required to present lectures and demonstrations both on and off the water.
Summer/Fall (June 25-28 and Oct. 15-18), $350/person
Includes:Course materials and handbook.

WWOC'S KAYAK CAMP FOR TEENS
For the last 14 years, WWOC has offered programs specifically designed for paddlers aged 10-17. Our two week programs in kayak or canoe emphasize safety first and great fun second. The two one week sessions can be combined to form a single two week session. Space is limited to 12 students, so book early.
Beginner Session: June 27-July 3 and Aug. 15-21
Intermediate Session: July 4-10 and Aug. 22-28
Price: $450 for one week, $875 for two weeks.
Includes: 24 hour supervision, equipment, transportation, lodging, meals and evening entertainment.

PRIVATE INSTRUCTION
Spring/Summer/Fall (April-October), $175/first person, $75 each add'l person. Reservations required.
Includes:Instruction, lunch and equipment.


WHERE IS WWOC?

Located in the Lake George region of the Southern Adirondacks in New York state, we are: One hour from Albany, Five hours from New York City or Boston, Four hours from Syracuse and Two and a half hours from Montreal.
DIRECTIONS
Take I-87 North from Albany, NY to exit 23 (Diamond Point) and follow signs for Rt. 28. We are 5 miles up Rt. 28 on the left side, just across the Hudson River bridge.
